Employment Readiness Programs for Women and Youth

Konbit Family Services delivers trauma-informed employment readiness programs designed to help women and youth in Ontario overcome barriers to workforce entry. Participants gain essential skills in resume writing, interview preparation, communication, and workplace confidence—empowering them to transition from crisis to career.

Newcomer Workforce Integration for Women

Our workforce integration services support immigrant and refugee women across Ontario in navigating the Canadian job market. We provide culturally sensitive career coaching, credential recognition support, and confidence-building workshops tailored to the unique challenges faced by newcomer women in Toronto, London, and surrounding regions.

Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise Training

We empower women, youth, and newcomers in Ontario to launch their own businesses or community-driven enterprises through practical training in business planning, marketing, budgeting, and sustainable entrepreneurship. These programs help break cycles of poverty and create generational economic change in underserved communities.

Culturally Responsive Trauma Recovery Workshops

We provide critical wraparound supports—including mentorship, childcare assistance, and transportation aid—so that women and youth can fully participate in our programs without logistical barriers. These services are vital to shelters, employment programs, and funders committed to long-term success in Ontario communities.

Wraparound Supports

Conduct mock interview sessions to help clients improve their interviewing skills. Offer feedback on their responses, body language, and overall interview performance. Share tips and strategies for handling different types of interviews, including behavioral and technical interviews.
